4 Ways To Stay Healthy On The Road In Your RV
When you travel in an RV, you get to relax far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. That’s what your vehicle to adventure is for, after all!
However, your well-being doesn't have to get pushed to the back burner when you’re on the road. Here are four easy ways to add some healthy rejuvenation to your next RV adventure.
- Active rest stops. If you’re planning a long drive, chances are you’ll pull over at a rest stop. Don’t just stretch your legs; take advantage of the opportunity to walk around for 15 or 20 minutes (weather permitting). This will help increase the blood circulation in your legs before you start the next leg of your trip (pun fully intended).
- Adventurous itineraries. Are you travelling to areas with mountains or trails? If so, try to fit a hike or a walk into your vacation. You’ll not only get a good workout, but you’ll also have the chance to take in the breathtaking scenery and create lasting memories.
- Campsite games. Want to bring some healthy fun to your campsite? Break out the games! Play a friendly match of badminton, toss a ball back and forth, throw a Frisbee or (if you’re near a lake) play water polo.
- Smart eating. It’s not uncommon to think of hot dogs, s’mores and chilli when it comes to camping/road trip food. That’s all good and fun, but you can easily plan some healthy additions that won’t take up much space. Check out how you can get in your daily fruits and veggies using a muffin pan – and it has nothing to do with baking!
